Blithfield Fishing Trip

On Sunday thirteen club members fished Blithfield reservoir, it was a cloudy day with a gentle north westerly breeze which made it feel quite cold at times. The majority of members elected to fish from boats and that proved to be the best option. Top rod of the day was without doubt Andrew Worthington with a stunning catch of thirty fish fishing buzzers. In his own words it was the ‘ best days buzzer fishing he had ever had ‘. His boat partner Chris Hollick returned ten fish so they obviously got their tactics spot on for the day. The other notable return was Barrie Jones with eighteen fish again from the boat. Pete Webb had seven fish caught on Hot Head Damsels and Blobs. As far as I know all members caught on the day so it was a good day all round and definitely one where the boat anglers scored over the bank anglers
