This week we had an evening demonstration by the inimitable Pete Webb who showed us several flies and associated techniques. During the evening Pete filled the odd bout of silence with a joke or two. All I can say Pete is – stick to fly tying and don’t give up your day job to become a comedian!
Seriously though it was a fun night and Pete always bring a touch of fun and reality to his efforts which were fully appreciated. Thanks Pete for your efforts, the Velcro lolly sticks and use of your paired Mallard wing slips.
Below we see the master at work. He even went so far as to present Roger Smith with a rather special Salmon fly – large in size – it was tied on a coat hanger bent into the shape of a hook and used whole hen pheasant tails for the wing – paired of course! Nice one Pete.
