Tuesday 25th March was the date for Worcester Fly Dressers Annual Prizewinners Award celebrations and the culmination of our programme. 2025 could be classed a success although we had to show an element of agility during the year with reorganisation of planned events during the year, but we came through it in the end and we had a very consistent attendance which was really encouraging.
The evening got off with the presentation to our newest member Adam Uren, who had achieved the Fly Dressers Guild Bronze Award in the short period in which he has been a member of the club.
Adam receives his Certificate of Achievement for attaining the Bronze Level.
The Annual Fishing competition was held again at Bransford Fishery on 2nd November 2025. The eventual outcome after a hard mornings fishing was a tie between Richard Benham and Pete Major.

The Annual Fly Tying competition took place on Tuesday 4th March and comprised three categories.
The Prizewinners Trophy where members are made up from previous prizewinners and were given the challenge to provide 2 entries of The French Mayfly (Variant).
The Open Class Trophy entrants have not previously won an award and needed to produce 2 entries of The Rutland Shrimp (Variant)
The Innovative Fly which is an open invitation where randomly selected materials are presented and the tyer submits their creation.
The Open Class & Prizewinner specimens had been demonstrated previously by Paul Aston.
The Prizewinners Trophy for this year was awarded to Glyn Williams, who can be seen receiving his award.
The Open Class Trophy was awarded to Adam Uren who can be seen below receiving his shield.
The Innovative Award was presented to Simon Willmott who can be seen below collecting his trophy.
The Chairman’s Trophy is an award that is normally awarded to a club member in recognition of outstanding contribution. This year this was awarded to Terry Kinrade. Terry can be seen receiving his trophy below.
The evening ended with usual nibbles and a ‘fun’ quiz prepared by our resident Quizmaster Kenm Nutting.
