On Tuesday 14th the club was delighted to have Davie McPhail tie for us on a Zoom session at the club. Davie is probably the foremost fly tyer inthe country and we have looked forward to this evening for some considerable time.
Davie tied a number of flies which had been requested by members and some of his own favouriteās. In addition he gave us an insight into his own fishing experiences and some of the flies he uses from his own collection
Davie answered a wide range of questions on tying and fishing in general which was appreciated by all the members. Davie kindly donated the flies he tied on the evening. All in all this was a great evening and the club feel privileged to be able host this evening and our thanks go to Davie for his time.
