On Tuesday 22nd November we invited Dr Dave Bradley to the club at Perdiswell to do a fly tying demonstration. This is the first time he has been to the club and he tied a range of river flies with a particular emphasis on winter grayling fishing. All the flies he tied were of a very high standard along with clear explanations on materials and the techniques he used.
Along with the tying demonstration Dr Dave gave an insight into some of the techniques he uses when fishing the flies. All in all it was a very entertaining evening and he will be one of the speakers we will definitely invite back to the club.
As well as club members coming to our speaker evenings it is also open to the general public. To non club members a fee of £5 is normally charged to help cover the costs of the speakers. Our next speaker will be Don Stazicker on the 17th January
